Car and Motorcycle Tours in Tuscany
The hinterland of the Etruscan Coast offers a variety of itineraries immersed in Tuscan nature. These are best followed by motorcycle, amongst the century old bushland, castles and beautiful cities of art, escaping motorway traffic.
Departing from Poggio all'Agnello, pass through Venturina and head towards Suvereto. From Suvereto continue along a stretch of the valley of the Cornia river in a northerly direction, towards Montescudaio. Once you have arrived in Casino di Terra, head in the direction of Volterra and San Gimignano.
Stopover is advised in Volterra to admire the beautiful city of origin, Etrusca. Another 30 or so kilometres of road surrounded by Tuscan greenery, before arriving in San Gimignano, a city famous throughout the world for its unchanged and complete medieval appearance.
An alternative route can be followed for the return trip (approx 120 km), passing through Colle Val d'Elsa, Casole d'Elsa and Castelnuovo of Val di Cecina, to discover new panoramas amongst the green Tuscan hills. Stopover is advised in the characteristic and picturesque village of Castelnuovo of Val di Cecina. This return itinerary contains many curves and is intended for those who prefer dynamic and sports riding.
Departing from Poggio all'Agnello, pass through Venturina and head towards Suvereto, with a possible first stop in this medieval village, or perhaps in one of the territory's cellar or oil mills to taste local products.
Continue north towards Sassetta and therefore Castagneto Carducci, along a road parallel to the coast (approx 5-6 km from the coastline, with sea views).
From Castagneto Carducci, return towards the plain in the direction of Bibbona, where an uphill section begins towards Montescudaio, and follow the crest of the hills parallel to the Etruscan Coast.
