FIRST POGGIO ALL’AGNELLO SPRINT TRIATHLON OF 2020

THE IDEAL ITALIAN LOCATION FOR THE TRIATHLON
Poggio all’Agnello is hosting its first national Triathlon race of 2020. The sporting event, in addition to being recognised by FITRI (the Italian Triathlon Federation), is also sponsored by the comune of Piombino, which was awarded the title of ‘European City of Sport’ in 2020.

Swimming Leg
The 750-metre swimming leg will take place in our Olympic-size swimming pool, with the trial being organised into heats.
For the occasion, the starting blocks and lanes have been replaced.
CYCLING LEG
The 20-kilometre cycling leg will be the only external portion of the race and will take place over an entirely level circuit with little traffic, taking the riders all the way to the outskirts of Piombino.
RUNNING LEG
The 5-kilometre running leg will take place entirely within the perimeter of the residence, with a round-trip on Viale degli Ulivi, which will enable us to experience the final phase of the race live.
